Therapeutic Approach

Initially, we will work on building the therapeutic relationship, taking into consideration the goals of therapy from the child or the young person and their parents or care givers.  The therapy will focus on the mind and body looking at difficult thoughts, feelings and body sensations with an aim to give the client a better felt-sense of well-being.

The techniques that I weave into the therapy will be play therapy, talking, creative arts, body movement, somatic experiencing and EMDR, the blend being different for each client dependent upon developmental age and stage in therapy.
